I got my 03 , hauled home and it is just what I wanted. Some guy in Wichita bought it in Florida and drove it home where it promptly blew the HG. I got it for 25 oz of silver (about $450) and it came with a bucket of new parts like waterpump, wires, etc
The complete lack of rust on the frame amazes me. Not even surface rust. It is an SE model so it has the storage compartment that I wanted. The only bad things are a stuck rear door and a sagging headliner. Front and rear bumpers are bad but I have a donor car. Will be just swapping motors as I have a good 4.6 with only 100k on it.
I plan to copy the look of somebody's rig that I saw on here that had a silver one that had the fender flares removed. I forget who that was.
It does not have heated seats so I am hoping to be able to switch over console and seats from the donor truck. I assume the wiring is there. Also have a locking CLD from the donor for it.
Looks clean, and for the price that's one hell of a deal. Good for you!
BONUS > That rig is going to be very happy once it's playmate, the blue RRC is parked next to it.

Just in case you want to see how rust free a florida car can be I present a photo of the original rear driveshaft that I pulled for towing.
Of coarse the brilliance of the Land Rover engineers ensured that we all benefit from the "self-oiling" of the frame.
As far as prices, that is the joy of living in BFE. We don't pay California prices. In reality, if they have blown HGs then 500 is about the max value anywhere.
