My no crank issue resolved.
But I never did find the cause of the gremlin.
So did a HG job, battery out for a month+
When I got it all back together it would not crank.
LED display showed all the symbols for each gear at once and the M+S lights were on.
How did I fix it?
I removed the starter motor relay and fuel pump relay and used a wire to directly jump the contacts, and it worked.
Once I did that it started with the key like it should.(relays replaced, wires removed) they are in the under hood fuse box
During the problem I was getting a code for a bad XYZ switch.
I assume, something got out of sync and was re-synced once I bypassed the computer control of the start and fuel systems. Or there was a dirty connection that fixed it's self once the truck started.
SO my rover runs!!! supa yay.
Thanks for holding my hand thru this rover guys.
I managed to get it running without opening my wallet! again
Now just two remaining codes P0447 and P1590.
On the road again......
