Thats right, I visited there periodically with my P38 Rovers - always had the parts I needed. Have a few in my shopping cart right now.

Vehicle was serviced at dealership. I will be replacing them next week. I live 30 min from Atlantic British, and exclusively use parts from them. I hate to say this but the disco is the swim-mom's grocery getter. No off-roading for her.

I will be performing the complete 60K service as described in many threads and defined by Mike. It actually sounds fun and gives some piece of mind as well.

FWIW.......... I have posted advice/help messages on other car forums - BMW, VW, Toyota and this is the most communication I have received from any. Thanks to all.

Yeah, we're a little obsessed with Rovers here. It's an addiction. If I lived that close to Atlantic British I would be broke all the time, instead of most of the time like I am now. I usually have at least one shipment from AB waiting for me when I get home from work so I have stuff to do on my weeks off.

I live in the Virgin islands so i am jealous of ANYONE on the US main land who has better access to parts and service than I do!!

But Back to the drive shaft issue...i have an 03 as well. And I have the same situation with my front drive shaft. The front U joint close to the front axle has the greasable u joint. BUT... the double cardon joint towards the t/c does NOT! Could this be how the 03-04 were made?

I thought all FRONT STOCK DII drive shafts simply needed 2 greasable u joint for the double cardon assembly.

If anyone out there has an 03 or 04 Discovery with the STOCK front drive shaft, please let us know what YOU find.

My plan was to just simply replace the u joints in the double cardon and leave the one up front alone.

But I dont mind replacing all 3 if its recommended.
