No question it is totaled. Check with some auto recyclers in your area and see what they would pay for your Rover. If you are a busy guy, parting it out will be a real PITA.

I agree, if you need money NOW to buy a new car, parting out will take waaay to long. But there are positives to parting out, if you have the time. Just consider whats best for you, because your rover is absolutly not fixable (or worth fixing). Glad to hear you're ok though.

He meant FedEx.

Ok, who's the one that had to disagree in the poll. I thought for once we could all agree on something other than driving Rovers. LOL

Give Adopt-a-part in Denver a call (800-508-2211) and see what they'll give you for the truck. They specialize in import and Europe vehicles. I don't know if they buy vehicles like that but it never hurts to ask. That is where I just picked up my fifth alloy wheel for my spare.

Are those 16" wheels? I bet you could get a god amount for a set of 5 16" factory alloys. They don't do me any good but there's always someone with a D2 looking to get rid of the 18" wheels for 16s.

I would say it is totaled you could let the insurance man look at it but you will end being told the same thing as on here.

Also you will hear, salvage title come out of the adjusters mouth.

I've parted a few cars out in my time. I use to pull the car in the garage and just start ripping apart till I had the shell, basically rolling. I'd usually get 300 for the shell from a scrap yard.

Craigslist and also ebay were real handy plus being a member on multiple forums.

I made enough money to keep myself busy and clear what I had in the car.

Big parts you can always do freight pick-up or greyhound.

I've looked a few LR's needing engines or tranny's. I told the wife find one with a good body but shot engine or tranny we will be good to go.

First off I just want to send my condolences, never like to see a fellow rover owner going through this. Also glad to hear your all ok (think if that was an american vehicle not only would the damage probably be worse but someone could have been hurt!!!) I would have to agree that if you can part it out do it you will get more money out of it. well whatever you decide to do with it I hope the best works out for you and your family.
