This does him no good but if it is your daily driver and it is worth more than $1500 keep full coverage insurance on it.
If it is a classic or speciallty vehicle then by all means keep full coverage insurance on it.
If you only drive it 3 months a year then full coverage while on the road and storage insurance while stored.

i bought my 99 disco 2 for $3000.. you can find some dirt cheap ones that need head gasket jobs done on tempest.com like in north carolina there is always D1's for like $1500.
