What every you do, don't buy a steering pump from an eBay company called powersourcepartsllc spouting their "Lifetime Warranty" for their steering pumps.
Their pump crapped out after 5 months of use and asked them about their process of submitting a claim for their lifetime warranty. Even after I sent them receipts from the Land Rover garage that installed it and bunch of lengthy emails about the Disco's maintenance history, they said their pump was fine and that the LR garage showed have done X, Y, and Z steps prior and after installing their pump.
It's been a month of going round and round with those jerky boys so I purchased another pump from Will Tillery. I'm waiting on that pump to arrive now.

I too am having a steering pump issue. My truck sat in storage for about 3.5 months and upon starting, it just leaked PS oil everywhere. I was a little surprised to see it leaking from what appears to be under the radiator and down the front air scoop. Do the hoses for the PS run to a cooler in front of the Rad? Or when these leak from the pump, is that where the oil ends up? Thanks for any help.

My stock front bumper is off and a bull bar is on - thus you can see up this air scoop from the front

PS fluid leaking from under the radiator - but I dont see anywhere else a leak.

There are certain steps that must be followed , while installing a new power steering pump. Normally, there is a tag attached to the pump explaining these procedures (which is the first thing to be disregarded/tossed aside). If not followed...you run the risk of failure on your new pump. Flushing the cooler, lines and reservoir are paramount, before replacing pump. Materials that have come off the failed pump are lodged in the reservoir, cooler lines and cooler, and once the new pump is installed, these materials (usually metal shavings from pump gears) ruin the new pump.

Refilling unit and bleeding system properly are also paramount to the life of your new pump.

Brian.

The power steering fluid cooler line runs underneath the radiator and goes back to the pump. It corrodes and leak. I have the parts already to replace it but its seems like a bit of a job to replace. Mine has a slow leak but never got into it yet.

Do you need to take out the radiator to get that part in? I am putting that tube and the PS tubes in soon. Just wondering how to get that one in.

Can that power steering loop be installed without removing the radiator and transmission cooler ?

$120.00 or 225 for all of the hoses, which probably need replacing soon too? Just opened my kit. Didn't come with clamps. New clamps never hurt.
