My upper radiator hose bleed screw housing is leaking, Is there a Metal replacement
BC if you notice in the picture Savannah Buzz posted, there is a drilled out, and subsequently plugged spot on the top of the T because of that very issue. If you put the bleeder in the upper back side of the T you shouldn't run into any issues.
look in the last two replies, that I made in your other thread (per request).....https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...s-63638/page2/.... plenty of room.
and this.......

is a closed nipple. threads make for strong ridges/grooves to make ample gripping surface

Teflon for sure that paste is no good. Blue Teflon be the best. I just use white if I can't find blue , yellow is for gas line.
I've done a few of these, never had one leak. That past junk has to set up and Tef tape is get it on and good to go

Not enough bubbles with bleed on the side to make a difference.
So,...I've done this twice now. First, with teflon tape as the sealant,...it leaked at all 3 nipple to T threaded areas. Took it all apart and redid it with plumbers sealant paste, and its even worse, taking it apart yet again tomorrow (Sunday) and will try it again with the teflon tape and on the recommendation of an ex plumber at Home Deopt, will now try brass nipples in place of the galvanized steel. This is starting to get pricey enough that I am beginning to think I should have just bought the factory hose with T.
OK, so, all apart again, cleaned the paste goo off with a wire brush and laquer thinner,....and ran to Home Depot,....no Blue teflon,....been replaced by Gray FASTAPE they tell me. all back together with the fastape,...and back on the truck,.....bleed it again,....and............................still leaking.
