At my wits end with Fuel Pump
I have been working on getting fuel to my 97 Disco off and on for 6 weeks.
I cannot understand what is happening.
When the switch is turned on, I have 11.6 volts at the plug going into the fuel sender assembley and at the plug that goes into the actual pump itself.
However, the pump won't turn.
I can unhook the pump from the plug, connect leads to the pins, touch them to a battery and it turns.
There is no rational explanatation.
I think I am down to getting it to a mechanic, I can't understand why it won't work.

RE: At my wits end with Fuel Pump
Could be the relay or the reset switch. You can cycle the reset switch to see if this helps. My '96 had an issue of working fine when given 12V from the Battery, but during driving operation would crap out some times. Replacing the pump resolved the issue...
