Default Mystery Gasket

So I was changing my oil & after I got all done I backed my Disco up & a gasket was laying on the concrete. I can not figure out where this came from!!

It's about 2" in diameter, very soft rubber, can squish it all the way together very easily.

Anyone have any ideas of where this might have come from??

Thanks!

Kind of looks like the gasket that fits into the oil filler cap.

Yep. There's supposed to be a gasket in that cap. Everything in there is supposed to be built to keep water out, so all of the caps have gaskets on them.

I'm kind of surprised that was it. I was wondering how it could end up out of the cap and under the car if it was, even though it does look like it is that gasket.
