Default Mystery leak near transmission

This may have been covered before, but when you search "leak" on this forum you get about 800 results so I figured I'd make a new post.

Every once in a while, usually after I haven't driven the rover in a few days, I get a leak coming down from above the transmission pan area after I drive it a bit and park somewhere. It's not much, but it does leave about a 6" puddle under the trans before it stops. It drips mainly from the drivers side of the pan, collecting and dripping from a piece of linkage sitting next to the trans. It also drips, although slightly less, from the passenger side. This is making me think there is a small leak on the top of the transmission somewhere and its cascading down both sides. I dipped a finger into the fluid and it seemed clear and wasn't slick at all, so I don't think its tranny fluid or oil. Engine oil level is exactly where it was last time I looked, but coolant is down maybe 1/2" in the reserve tank from a few weeks ago. I'm thinking maybe just a small sporadic coolant leak from a coolant line somewhere, but want to make sure this isn't a sign of an upcoming catastrophe. I always carry a couple gallons of coolant in the back, so I'm hoping a periodic top-off is all it'll take to keep things running.

Could it just be water from the A/C draining?

It could be coolant from a blown head gasket. The water jackets are on the rear of the heads and if the outside of the gasket fails it could leak coolant down the back of bell housing.

It could be water from the AC I suppose, the AC was running during the whole drive today. Since this is fairly intermittent I think that's probably more likely than a head gasket, which I would imagine would be more consistently dripping.

A/C evaporation will evaporate off the ground by itself because it is simply water. Coolant or Oil will not. If you don't wipe it up, does it go away?

Are you running your Air Conditioning before you park the rover?
If you are running your A/C, then it is probably water from the A/C drains.
