I thought a thread outside of the "myDisco is busted"theme would be nice.

Anyone ever been to the National Land Rover Rally? This year I believe it's in Montrose, Colorado. Sounds like a great area. I'm from Durango, so I'd love to head back up there. August is a nice month in that neck of the Rockies.

So, anyone been? Worth going? Aside from some nice drives, are there good opps for getting ideas for new tricks and toys?

 

I still haven't made Moab and as a Solihull member I sure as hell better make this years run. There is alot of effort being put into this years event should be great and what a list of trails.

We haven't decide everything yet, but we do know that the LR3 is definitely going and possible pulling the Freelander on a trailer so we can get better mileage. We've also been looking into doing a two inch lift on the Freelander, and off road wheels and tires, i already have the wheels. I'm looking into making my own diamond plate skid plate.

It should be fun.

 

You have been to Moab, though? I've been going to Moab several times a year since the early 90s. Awesome spot. While my primary toy to take is my mountain bike, I've done a fair share of trails on my KTM motorcycles and my various Jeeps have had fun there. Maybe I'll slip that on my calendar. The rover would look nice with a coat or red dust!

that national rally sounds like a lot of fun, if i can get that time off of work im gonna check it out for sure.
