Default Necessary to replace the oil drain plug washer?

Hey all!

First oil change on the new Disco and, coming from the BMW world where new drain plug washers must be used every oil change, I'm wondering if its the same with the D2. I haven't found any mention of it reading through the forums, but I see that Atlantic British includes one with their oil change kit. Although, they also include a new drain plug and I doubt that's always necessary...

They are crush washers, so I believe so. I had to Reuse my last one, no leaking, but will pick up more.

Mine is not a crush washer and the one sold by AB also is not, just a steel washer.

They sell more than one, but this is the one I had on mine and still do with no leaking.
Its not a crush washer.

That washer is aluminum, not steel, and is indeed a crush washer. It should be changed ideally at each oil change, although I have reused them from time to time with no problems.

I prefer copper ones. They are easy to find at any hardware store. Pick up 20 for a $1.50 and you are set.

I have the same washer on mine since I bought it. 2012 I think.

Everyone is worried about losing a drop or two through the washer but the rest of the truck can leak like a sieve. My washer doesnt drip and I dont overtighten it. My wife changes her oil from time to time.

The crush washers for the V8 are so cheap I just replace them.
You can get the Honda #94109-14000 crush washer for cheap and has the same dimension as @OverRover stated above.
