Default Need advice: Fuel pump, dirty TB or?

D2 2001 117K. Last Friday would nor start, engine turned but would nor fire.
Never had any problems or indication of. Sat over weekend in remote location. Towed to local garage. Fired right up when unloaded. NO codes!
Drove all week, started about 5 times a day. Last night, same problem.
Disconnected battery, did not help. Waited an hour. Would not start.
Put key in second posistion, waited 30 seconds. Fired right up!
Drove home. Tried again, would not start.
Looked at throttle body, kind of funky, so cleaned. Tried again, fired right up. Started a half dozen times. Fired right up again this morning.
Use premium gas, did engine flush when bought 17 months ago at 102K.
Use synthetics throughout. Have changed plugs. Never have had any performace problems, missing or other wise. Any advice?

The first simple question is: when you turn the ignition on, do you hear the sound of the fuel pump? If there is sound, and still will not start, then check fuel pressure. You say there are no codes, so that should rule out the crank sensor, but that guy is always a suspect.

Your crank sensor is failing.
It will stop the signal the ECU needs to fire the injectors or spark, or both, rarely shows a code and is very predictable. Parts is in the $80 range and if you are at all mechqanical you could replace it.

Thanks guys! Looking at the Rave CD, looks like on rear of engine, passenger side.
I can replace it. Should I check first to see if extremely dirty or loose connection or just order one from AB today?

Drivers side, half way down, back of engine, you can buy one locally and save on shipping.
Dirty or not does not matter, it still needs to be replaced.
If you were in the middle of the Amazon then I would say try and salvage it, but your not.

Thanks all! Update: Drove home M/S lights started flashing and went into limp mode.
Had ordered the CKP overnite from AB. Installed new sensor. Seems to be fine now.
Starts right up everytime.
