The wife and would like to traverse the white rim trail in moab Utah. I've traversed it several times but always on a ktm950. It's an easy day trip, about 110 miles.
now....I'm taking the 99LR this year and plan on taking 2? maybe 3 days? Based on the advice. Also fuel, have any of you traversed it in a 99lr? I haven't operated the lr in low range for any real duration. What should i plan for? Is it even doable? I know it can physically make, but will i have the fuel in the factory tank?
thanks for the experienced advice

I didn't do the white Rim Trail in a '99, but in a '04 two years ago. Except for 30.5" tires it was stock, so no lift or suspension upgrade except for air helper springs in the rear in order to compensate for gear, food, water and people (2 adults + 3 almost grown up kids). You can make it in two days easily, but I recommend 3 days. I drove it in low range for less that 25% of the distance because it is mostly a gravel road. A full tank was completely sufficient, but I would always carry a spare 5 gallon because you never know.
You should do that no problem, but as noted if in doubt throw a 5 a gallon gas in. Also check the mileage for the last gas station to the 1st one you can hit after trails end, that is the critical distance.
