Default Need Codes Reset in Northeast CT

I'm looking for someone with a Nanocom, Hawkeye or ABS Amigo to reset my 2000 Discovery II system.

Since I live in Northeast CT - I'm looking for someone in the area of Springfield MA, Hartford CT, Providence RI or Boston area.

Anyone around willing to give me a hand? The rental guy seems to be out on loan currently. Maybe I'll just buy one to rent out to others as well. I haven't decided if I want the Nanocom or the Hawkeye yet, but I do plan on purchasing one of those... may end up being both!

Duh, I should mention - It's just the 3 amigos I'm concerned for today - I blew a rear brake line.

Until you get your codes read, fix the problem no since in trying to clear the codes.

I bought new pads, rotors, Dot4 Fluid, new hard line (after finding what the previous owner had setup...) to run brand new hard lines front to rear. Then I found it blew a line - one of the braided stainless lines. While pulling the system apart yesterday, I noticed the rear driver side has a passenger side caliper on it. /hug bleeder down.

I ordered new rear calipers for both sides. I'll have some new extra-extended braided brakelines made on Fri. This should put it all into order by Friday afternoon, minus the computer reset.

Nothing like the double-flare-dance under the truck.

OH no, you don't get off that easy. There are 16 different reasons the the 3 amigos, so there is a good chance you will still have a project to fix.

Fresh custom hard lines to the rear of the truck, fresh flexi lines, new calipers, new rotors, new pads and my new ABS Amigo claims a code!

DiscoMike - I'm sure you're shocked!

Code:
   Active Faults:
    None
   Logged Faults:
    021:Engine PWM signal bad
    Rear Right Sensor Bad Output
I've cleared it and it does come back, generally under some odd braking. Today it kicked back on as I turned tight into a parking spot I almost drove by.

Is this simply a rear right wheel sensor? What's the PWM stand for? Partial Wheel Movement?

Dave

I still DO look forward to chatting with you anyway Mike.

PWM- Pulse Width Modulated

On versus Off time like a fuel injector. In this case the pulse width of the tone ring/ speed sensor.

Sounds like you simply have a bad sensor or connection. Make sure the sensor is seated all the way also.
