Exactly. The belt on Atlantic British (AB) is only $25, but the dealer wants around $70 for it. geez.

The thermostat isn't so bad, you'll be paying $10 or so extra but at least if you need it now you've got it.

I always check AutoZone, Advance Auto and the dealer before ordering online.
Once you pay for shipping from AB you may not be saving any money.
Advance Auto has more parts for LR's than AutoZone.
I bought a bulb holder for a rear bumper turn signal from the dealer, it was $9.
AB had it for $5 but shipping was another $5.

If all you need is a t-stat then just replace that.

Alright, here's the latest on my dilemma:

Problem: Coolant reservoir empties faster than normal engine over heats due to no coolant/water in radiator.
Just as a note: No water spillages noticed when parked, seems like water "evaporates" somewhere else...

Took truck to couple of places for diagnose, both places suggested to replace Thermostat (Done), One of them is aking to replace the radiator because of the outlet tube (the one that connects to the "sikinny" plastic tube with reservoir) is not long enough!!! Thant didn't sound right but I do not know much about radiators so I'm asking the audience for their opinion.

I haven't tried the truck (on a long drive) to check if the loose of coolant persists, just replaced yesterday, too soon to call...

Any thoughts?

Thanks again for your priceless help Guys!!

You need to stop driving the truck until you find out where the coolant is going. Overheating is the worst thing you can do to your engine.

The coolant has to be going somewhere. You should either get a pressue test done (highly recommended) or add some dye and find it yourself. But whatever you do, do not overheat the engine!!!

As for the radiator replacement, I think you need a new mechanic.

Go somewhere reputable and get a pressure test done. You will find your leak.

Oh yeah...there is no "normal" for emptying of your coolant tank; it should not lose any coolant at all.

Thanks guys, I'll do the pressure test ASAP! There's a radiator shop close by, I'll ask if they do this type of test...

I'll keep you all posted...

Hello,

Just an update: Needed a new radiator and was replaced.

Now, it still leaking lots of water/coolant from underneath, the radiator guys says I need a new water pump

Does anyone knows a place where to get a new pump other than the dealer? dealer is asking about $250.00 is this a good price?

Thanks guys for your help!!

That is not a terrible price but you can do better:

http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/STC4378OE.cfm

Find out exactly where it is leaking from. Front cover coolant leaks are common as are water pump gasket leaks. Is your water pump making noises or is your fan loose? If it is making noises or if the coolant is leaking from the water pump shaft then yes you need a new one. Put some coolant dye in your coolant to help see the leak.
