Hi lipadj46, yes the fan is a little loose, the pump's bearings (I was told) are wearing out)

I found one for $110.00 at British parts,

Will keep you guys posted...

Unhappy Update on this DiscoII... :(

Alright guys, apologies for the delay in feedback on my Disco II '99:

1) Radiator = Replaced,

2) Water pump = Replaced,

3) Thermostat = Replaced,

After all of the above was done, the truck was still leaking coolant and getting overheated.
A quick stop at the LR dealer and they said: "The head gaskets are gone" Need a head job (whatever that means) but sounds expen$$ive...

I do not know what else to do on this car, it has only 90,000 miles on it, looks very nice (looks can be deceiving, hu?)

I'm tempted to get it on Craiglist and ask for a trade, I'll take whatever as long as it works!!!

Thanks guys and again, any advise is appreciated...
BJ

You should pin point where it is leaking. At least narrow it down. Check the 2 little hoses that go to the throttle body (drivers side of engine bay). It is a common place to leak and there is a kit to fix it.

How much is it leaking? if needed, take the truck to a car wash, pop the hood, and wash the block down with a cold engine and water.

Head gaskets from an indy Rover shop should run $1500 to$1800. Do not go to the dealer, they will probably give it to you.

Sounds like you might be replacing parts that might not need replacing.

you can test your coolant for contaminants, oil, fumes etc. - this will show head gasket damage from cylinders to cooling system.

You can see condensation or milky gunk on your oil filler cap - this will show head gasket damage from cooling to lubrication.

I think you can also check spark plugs for indications of water damage.

I wouldn't be taking Dealers word as gospel without checking it out your self or at least having them demonstrate how they arrived at their conclusion.

just my 2 cents!
