Need Help with Britpart Springs and Gaz Shocks
I have a discovery 2 with ACE and rear air ride.
I added a 12,000 Harbor Freight winch with a 03-04 ARB bumper. Roof rack has about 100 lbs of gear. I purchased these springs https://www.britpart.com/all-parts/da4198 and these shocks https://www.lrparts.net/dc5000l-fron...scovery-2.html Both have a 2 inch lift. I also have 2 inch Toddco aluminum spacer lifts. My shop guy says the Rover is top heavy and swaying and ACE isn't doing it's job. Could someone mind chiming in? Also someone said "ultra heavy duty springs from a Discovery 1 are compatible in a Discovery 2":

You are overloaded for the springs, those only add 100 to 200 Lbs of extra weight.
You have 100Lbs on the rack + rack weight depending the rack that adds 75 to 100 + lbs The dynamic load roof load of a Disco 2 is 160 lbs tops, with a stock suspension so you are over.
Then you have the winch and bumper another 100.
You still have not added anything else
You need to do your suspension properly not toss parts at it.
Go back to the beginning
Determine your all weight truck scales are great for that, but I am going with you are at 300 to 400 over
Spring options are TerraFirma HD front and rear or OME HD front and rear,there are other but these are the easiest to start with.
Then you need shocks to with the springs - that just get weird with valve rates etc.
Check your sway bar bushings etc.
What you need to know is spring rate then load and it can be a bear to find

Thank you for the help. These are front Springs only. Sorry I don't want Terra Firma products. Anything else. Someone said there's OME super heavy duty front springs from a Discovery 1 (Part# 2767). They said this can be used on a Discovery 2. Is this true?
I'm keeping the ARB bumper + HF 12k winch and all heavy gear on it full time. This truck is loaded.

1) i have rear sls air ride.
2) i have ace
3) i only need front springs - im not getting rid of the sls air ride like some people say ./// never never never.

You ordered stock replacement springs. No lift and not heavy duty.
Maybe the extra weight clapped out your OG springs leading to the instability... And I think Richard was saying you were overloading the roof, not the truck.
You may want a taller or stiffer spring after you see how the front sits with those Britparts... Sounds like OME HD would work fine in your case.

SLS is designed to adjust for weight on the towbar, so it's definitely supposed to deal with more than "normal" loading. Maybe not as much as is being added in this situation though.
The ACE system can be tested using a Nanocom or other specialty device. You sit in the truck with the engine running and it leaps around on its own -- very freaky. Perhaps that's another place to start doing some diagnosis. If the actuators test correctly, maybe one or both of the tilt detectors aren't working correctly.
