None of those extra things you have dumped money into actually add much if anything to the value of the truck. According to NADA, your truck in excellent condition is worth $5712. $1412 of that is because of the low mileage. Most anyone looking at a used vehicle is going to try to pay less than retail value of the truck, even in perfect condition.

From the cosmetic condition of the truck, it sounds like you haven't maintained this poor vehicle at all. I'm guessing that an inspection of the motor would show lack of maintenance there too. Even with low miles (especially with low miles, these trucks are meant to be driven), the most you can hope to get from this in it's current state would be $3-4000. That $1000 sound system adds nothing to the resale value, as well as the brush guard and lights. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but these vehicles need to be maintained to keep their value, and this one obviously hasn't. 10 year old Range Rovers (new price $66,000-72,000) don't even go for $10,000 now.

Your rover is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Regardless of book value. If the book says its worth $5k but no one on Earth wants to give you more than $3K, then that's what it's worth.
You also can't EXPECT that add-on's will increase the value of your car. Add-on's only increase the value on a car when the potential buyer WANTS all those things...specifically. I don't care for sound systems so I personally wouldn't pay an extra 1k for the car just because it has it. Remove it and install it elsewhere.
It's the same thing when a young kid takes a $1,000 Honda Civic, and adds $5k worth of upgrades, paint, wheels, custom anything and everything and then tries to sell it for $6k. Rarely happens. They end up having to sell it for less.
But good luck with everything!

With all the teen age hot rodding and pimping out you have done to this low lile one owner that your mom had taken well care of I would not give you any more than $2000 for this truck.
Map pockets dont just fall off, my truck is a 1997 and the interior if flawless except for some minor wear on the drivers seat.
When you take a beauitiful truck and a kid and his friend beat the crap out of it at the Sonic drive in when you do you think is going to happen?
You would be better off to dump it as is, take the $2500 and run because thats the most you are going to get.
And as for your transmision making noises...these trucks were not meant to do hole shots.
