Need Help Pricing 2003 Discovery SE
Hey guys,
I'm currently looking to sell my 2003 Discovery SE (pretty good condition, 74,000 miles), but I'm not sure how to price it before I put it out there. I know there are a lot of variables when it comes to pricing it but online I've seen them go anywhere between $1,500 and $15,000. I am thoroughly confused at this point so any advice or guidelines as to how much it is worth will be much appreciated.
(Selling because the low gas mileage and long commute don't fit well)
Thanks

Funny, I think 2003 is one of the most common I see out there for sale.
Hard to price yours out without seeing it, but I will say that $15 falls into the "random nut" buyer. To most all of us who understand these cars, $15 is an hilarious joke.
If your 03 is FLAWLESS, with a rebuilt motor then you might get $5K to $6K on a lucky day. If it is above average, with no new head work then maybe high $3K to low $4K
Just my opinion.

Not sure what part of SC you are in, but I have found they sell very well there. I have sold several in that state for between $4 and $6 depending on year and mileage. Yours has very low mileage for the year, I would assume it has not had head gaskets done with that low mileage although it is possible. Sign up on mycarfax.com for free and you can get some idea of the service history. Assuming the tires are good, seats are good, paint is good, has no trouble lights at all and runs and drives good I would start at $5750, go down from there for any defects.
Good luck with the sale.
Good luck with the sale.
