Default Need Help!!! Stepper motor Gone Bad?

I have a 1998 Land Rover Discovery LE. I have been having problems with her idling high for about a year now. When she starts to act up I take the stepper motor out and clean it. This usually fixes the problem for a couple months. Well, I had the problem again two days ago so I cleaned it once again. NOW she will not stay running. No check engine light is coming on. Not throwing any codes. Should I replace the stepper motor and hope for the best? Any generic replacements available? I don't have a manual, is there a resistance or other test to check the unit on or off the truck? Any ideas? Thanks guys!

Happy to report that AC Delco part #AC320 fits perfectly and fixed the problem. Got one from Autozone For $44. Remove the o-ring from the new unit (won't fit on the disco) and she bolts right on. Fits a 97 Grand Cherokee with the 4 liter, I think. Thanks!
