Stepper Motor (IAC) high Idle

Stepper Motor (IAC) high Idle
I cleaned the stepper motor today, and every thing was running better...so then I saw that you were supposed to 'calibrate' by unplugging the stepper motor while the engine was running, shutdown and wait a minute before reconnecting. Once I did that I all I could get the truck to do was start and then stall out (if I held down on the gas it would NOT stall). I fiddled with it some more and now it idles are very high RPMs (1500). What do I need to do to get the stepper calibrated.

EDIT: After some more research, and a trip around the block, it seems the ECU has 'learned' and the idle is now proper.
