I bought a brush guard exactly like this one in the picture.. Long time ago and posted thread about it.. But now I am wondering if I could just make a bracket to fit it where the '04 Crush Cans are..
Has Anyone done this?? Any Ideas on what type of brackets to make?? Thanks a bunch

Otherwise I will sell it off...

 

Chassis on 03 and 04 are the same. If there's crush cans on it currently I would try to reuse them, but a lot of bumpers do not utilize the factory crush cans.

 

So then the Brush Guard does not fit either 03 or 04 then?? I will take a look tomorrow to see if I can fabricate some steel and bolt it to a crossmember underneath.. If there is one

 

All of these are designed to be mounted to the chassis rails, haven't looked at the design of the crush cans myself because they were gone when I bought my disco.

 

I measured the crush cans on the bumper I have laying in my garage, a 2001 designed for your brush guard. The distance from the inside of the crush cans are 25" apart and the outside are 31 1/2"



And these are the brackets you need to mount provider your dimensions are the same (should be if Zachary says the frame rails are the same) only thing is if it clears the new style bumper?

I attempted to mount this Bumper before and will obviously need some work to the bumper to clear it.. I was just wondering if there is enough frame to make some mounts for it to work with.. It looks like it.. So now I guess I'm off to fabricating something awesome..
