Need ideas on timing chain problem
I like to put silicone on the periphery of the front seal to make sure it seals to the housing. You can check for a groove in the balancer also, but usually those leaks are really small. There are a couple bolts that penetrate the oil gallery, good idea to put silicone on the front cover bolt threads as well.
Looks like my problem is a crap front seal.
when I compare the new one to the old I can see that the old is snug around the pulley but the new seal is slightly looser. Can’t reuse the old due to a small bend from removing it but ordered another abs should have it tomorrow. Praying that’s my only problem!
