Does it stop making smoke from exhaust once truck warms up to normal temp and runs for a few minutes? Condensation in exhaust will smoke on colder mornings, but stop. So if it started later, and kept going, sounds suspicious. Keep eagle eye on coolant level and temp gauge. Drive alternate vehicle if practical while you work through this. HGs don't usually fix themselves. And if you are considering using a head gasket sealer product, don't except in an emergency.

The truck was warmed up before the smoke started to come out. Drove the truck a good 20 miles before smoke started coming out. I do need to do plugs and clean the mass airflow sensor but don't think that would have anything to do with it??

Nope. Sound like HG, but did smoke come out the tail pipe, or does it come from somthing dripping on the exhaust pipes?

Im assuming the tailpipe cause I would see it when I would accelerate. I have a concrete driveway and have truck sitting there now and nothing is dripping. I was just looking at the Seafoam Induction Procedure and was wondering if that would help with anything???

DON'T clean your MAF. The ones on our trucks are too sensitive, and you'll most likely end up needing to buy a new one.

Where the **** did you come up with this?

I regularly clean MAFs with success.

This truck was here today and had codes for MAF and a few misfires. I think we need to try new plugs and maybe wires and clean the MAF and see what happens.

That's where I will start this weekend P.T. and we will see what happens. Drove the truck to get daughter from school and did not see any smoke this time. So hopefully it was just a "fluke". What is your opinion on the Seafoam Induction?? Would it help any or not you think???

The MAF on the D2 is very sensitive to cleaning. The D1 can be cleaned hundreds of times without issues.

Are you low on brake fluid?
