i was driving my 2002 Landrover discovery SE7 stop on a signal light.. with out a warning the engine stalled on me waited for 5 minutes start the engine and it works then after a few minutes it stall again. after cooling it down for atleast an hour the engine is running again. kinda skeptical wether I will drive it around but might stall again. The engine light was not lit on at all. My brother in law said that happens to him on his Mercedes and the problem was the crankshaft positioning sensor. need some helpful advice on how to find out the problem and if I can do it my self.

Yep, he's right. Happened on my wife's truck. Replace that and you should be good to go.

From what I hear - take pictures of the old one before you take it off.
The washers and spacers have to be EXACT or - it will not start.

I have not had the "pleasure" yet.
