Default Need tips on how to remove and replace the Black plastic A pillar cover

My new to me D2 came with a missing A pillar cover. I have found a couple D2s that are being parted out and would like to attempt removing the cover from a donor truck and install it on my truck. Given how fragile the bumper covers are on these trucks,.....I am assuming that the A pillar covers are made from the same stuff and are prone to breaking when being removed.

Any suggestions on how to approach this?

There are 3 black push rivets. Get a punch n lightly tap em and them will go through and you can then pull the other parts of the rivets out. After that, they are also held by 3 metal clips. Atlantic British has a nice video if you look on their site also

holler at me if your 2nd-hand covers don't work out; I have a new 1 sitting around still in the box.

BTW you will have to buy new fasteners. The 3 that you punch out from inside the door have to be replaced or it has no way to be held in place. there are 3 plastic fasteners inside, and 3 metal ones on the outside that are a B**** to work with. I broke several finishers both removing and installing on those outer metal tabs.
