New '04 Disco Owner!
Hey guys!
Just recently purchased a 2004 Discovery, Westminster Addition from a Local LR enthusiast in NY. The truck is in great shape with just 120,000 on it.
The bottom end was replaced by LR just about 50k miles ago and the owner I have bought it from has maintained it to a T ever since.
The truck has the 2" Terrafirma lift kit, I believe ARB front bumper, metal rear bumper, Warn 8000 front winch, aux lighting on the front bar, stainless brake lines, HD grease-able front drive shaft, and rocker sliders.
I couldn't be happier. I ordered a low temp thermostat and all the gaskets to do the valve covers as they are leaking a bit. The plugs, wires and coils were just recently changed earlier this year.
It does have orange coolant in it that has been flushed at least once since the new block was put in. Would you recommend completely flushing and switching to green or just keep up on changing out the orange coolant every 20-30k?
I'm going to be doing the thermostat and a couple radiator hoses anyways, so now's the time to make a switch if it is recommended. I am confident I can flush all of the old coolant out and rinse with distilled water... We have a full flush machine at the shop I work at so it is certainly possible to remove all the old stuff.
Anyways, here are a few photos of the new rig! Let me know if you guys have any suggestions. Allready been reading and watching the videos from Atlantic British on these trucks and look forward to doing a little service work and hitting Rausch Creek next month for Rovers on the Rocks!

Welcome!
Dog seems to like it....
I really like that grey color. Looks like a really clean 04.
I wouldn't worry about getting every scrap of dexcool out. But would certainly switch to green. I've changed my thermostat which got most. Then a hose, which got some more. My temps are fine, and the hoses are very clean, no build up of anything. So I'm not so paranoid about it. Some people are though.
Nice bumpers to come with.

Just got my Ultra Gauge and a box of parts including valve cover gaskets, throttle body gasket, oil separator and upper intake manifold gasket. Decided to do these because the VCG's are leaking a bit.
Lower temp thermostat should be here tomorrow, so thats on the schedule for the weekend. Going to check the trans and transfer case fluids and put in some additive as preventative maint. As well as re-grease the front driveshaft. Anything else I should check out?
