Default New 04 owner, question?

I just picked up an 04 Disco S yesterday. I took it for an oil change today, and the oil change guy pointed out that i needed an alignment, (both front tires worn out on inside) and that it also looks like I am missing a steering part. I took a picture, just to be sure. It looks like nothing was ever there, but I just wanted to make sure something is supposed to be there that isnt. It's on the front drivers side wheel.

First of all, welcome to the club. I have an '04 SE and I love it. You're not missing anything, I've got the same thing. If you had ACE, this is where the actuator arm would connect if I remember correctly.

No, that's if you're right-hand drive vs left-hand drive.
