Being that the truck is coming up on 80K, what can I do on my own as far as maintence and create a good starting point as a new owner. Its never been wrecked and serviced at LR.

Condition the leather, and then again in a week. Then every 6 months after that.
If you plan on orr-raoding dump the 18" rims.
Have the front driveshaft re-built using greasable u-joints.
Flush and fill the coolant and brake fluid.
Read the owners manual over to cover, twice.
Check the tire pressure in the spare tire.
Use premium gas.

I second Urban Panzer, holy sh*& that was cheap, I paid nearly double for my 04 SE7 back in January. Well you can thank gas prices for that. Looks good!

 

yup!

it came from florida so they sat on the car for months trying to dump it. finally sent it to ebay with another 03 after several attempts to get rid of it for a decent price at auction. had leaves and debris under the hood and in the body joints, easy to tell it was sitting for some time. just got it back from the dealer after inspection and all is well!

 

Nice looking truck - I like the big luggage bars on the 04's. Congrats on the great deal, too... It doesn't make me feel good about my resale value, though. Dang!
