Make sure, what ever you do, that you do a 3 pint DOT 4 flush and use lots of sound deadening spray.

The Ferodo pads will do just fine.
Sound deading spray will help cut back on brake squel.

I put the ferodo pads on new "stock" rotors and have been very pleased. No squeals after they settled in. I've noticed moderate dusting so far - have about 7k miles on them.

So economically speaking, Ferodo will do fine. I've never heard of sound deadening spray. Is that what it says on the label? I can find this at Autozone?

Me too. I'd rather put on performance brakes that will improve the Disco. Michigan winters are no joke and I need something that can handle any type of weather.

I just recently went with EBC and love them so far. I had them installed instead of doing them myself (long story) and have not heard a squeak from them at all. I thought all brakes squeaked when bedding in...

Sound deadening spray is a red spray that dries tacky. It is a goey film that goes on the back of the pads to reduce noise. EBC's had pads installed already, so it is not needed.

And yes, it is at Autozone in a little spray can. Do not use the grease they sell for brake squeal. It will get dirty, and can melt off and get in your pads.
