Owned a series 1 Disco a few years ago but just bought a TD5, loving it! Looking at a couple of upgrades and looking for advice on either really, EGR by pass and a uprated diesel pin? Worth bothering with or not? Thanks

 

Which MY td5? Do some research on the bolt which backs itself out of the oil pump sprocket.

Go over the "major service" sticky at the top of this D2 subforum and get all of the routine maintenance items up to date and replace/repair the other known culprits known to cause catastrophic failure like your oil pump bolt, 180-degree thermostat and the front driveshaft if/and whatever else applies. just a heads-up on matters that may need attention.
