So I checked it out yesterday and it turned out to be a total piece of ****. Thanks for you help! The three amigos were on, the pedal went to the floor, rear door hinges were broken, original driveshafts, sls suspension intermittently drops and to top it all off there were huge holes in the frame behind the r/r wheel. The engine purred nicely but had some oil leaks. Interior was mint.

It does sound like you have bought someones 'pile of poo', a real dunger. Most of your problems are routine maintenance but the holes in the chassis/frame need a good fabricator welder/garage professional to rectify. Who looked this truck over for you? did they check for codes with a diag code reader? Sadly most of your faults are the result of long term abuse by the previous owner(s) together with lack of maintenance. If you bought this truck from a dealer then take it back and ask for a full refund.

I guess it's already happy hour in Bordeaux.

Every hour is happy hour in Bordeaux, problem being is I rarely drink alcohol

I should have stayed in the UK, you get booze and drugs on benefits I hear

Nah, the UK is sinking faster than the Titanic on speed at the moment
