Default New issue, won't start.

Figured I'd post this up, maybe you guys have a quick fix... I did a search with no results...

Truck starts most of the time, but sometimes it just cranks and won't start, it'll continue only cranking no matter how many times you attempt to start it... The only way to get it out of this limbo is to pull the battery cable, wait about 5 seconds, plug it back in and it starts up right away... I'm assuming by doing this I'm either clearing a fault or shocking a part that's on its way out into working a little longer.

I'm thinking it might be a fuel pump on the way out, or maybe a fuel sensor... I see alot of people posting about the crank sensor... any ideas what could be causing this?

Brad,
Have you cheked to see if you have any fuel pressure to the rail when it won't start?
How long has it been since you changed the fuel filter?
What happens if you spray some carb cleaner in the manifold, will it start?
Do you have any codes?
Mike

all good questions, asking them helps alot. I haven't done anything like this yet since I just got the truck 3 days ago. Where is the fuel filter on these things? Any specific one I should pick up? I'm sure my rails are rusting although I haven't pulled them yet.
