depends on where you are. by me most people baby their trucks, they are always washed and garaged so rust is minimal. if you head two hours north of me or further you might find some more rusted out junky rigs. the history is big item as well my truck is from TN. spent 4 years down there before coming to the north east.

 

i have said that again and again about washington state. western washington mostly. discos are at a premium price when compared to the rest of the country. the majority of people in seattle and the eastside (mostly all white with money) view anything german or british as a high status symbol and they are priced as such. 99% of discos driven are by middle aged women who use em for shoe shopping and kid transport. 03's in good shape are easily 8-10k. a good 04' is 10-12 on the privet market and 15+ from a dealer. and people pay it so there is no easy barganing to be had. i see 99-02's that are beat up turds and dealers asking 5-6k for them. its scary.

i bought at the beginning of the decline in october 08. went to a small lux car dealer an hour north of seattle and paid 12k otd for my 04 with 48k miles. 1 owner lease return from los angeles. it was practically a new rig. i got lucky. since then the used car market in the seattle area has spiked due to the new car market tanking.
