new member - a few Qs - 96 Disco
A friend gave me his 96 Discovery this past weekend, and mechanically it is fine. My biggest issues (one that are not straight forward fixes) are as follows:
Both front seats have stopped moving. (I'm not big on elec seats, is there a mechanical setup that would work instead?) Assuming I need new motors / switches where is the best place for those?
The rear sunroof is leaking through the switch "console" mounted on the roof and through the dome light next to the "console". Why (I assume gasket/seal failure)? What is the quickest fix?
Oh, I'm also missing a gas cap... Where to buy?
Other than that, it runs great. 195k miles and still going.
Thanks for the help...
Matt

Matt, welcome to our humble little forum.
www.atlanticbritish.com, parts and tech tips. Read the tech tips.
You can get a non-vented gas cap anywhere. Make sure that it is non-vented.
The sunroof drain is clogged. Do a search on here for the fix.
As for the power seats, check the fuses first. Under the steering wheel behind the access panel, two little cheap plastic screws, you can loosen them with a coin.
Half a turn and they are loose.
