new owner-air suspension jump help!!
so my first post is a big one!!! I just picked up an 01 disco 2. It sits on the bump stops in the back, and I knew this when I bought it a few days ago, the previous owner said the air compressor is out-which made for a GREAT negotiating point!!
No lights are on the dash. when I push the button to raise the back, nothing happens. If I hold down the button for a few seconds, a chiming noise comes on for two beeps and then thats it. Fuses are good. I want to jump the compressor to make sure that its running or not before I buy a new one. I tried searching but couldnt find a way to jump it. Any one know how to do this?
Also, If I have to replace the pump, how do the air lines going to the pump get disconected to plug into the new pump?
By the way, Im not interested in converting to springs, I want to keep the air ride!
TIA

Update:
Today I messed around some more with it. What I'm finding out is this, when I start the engine, everything on the cluster looks normal- no lights and the back end still sits on the bump stops. Once I push the button to raise the rear, the flashing light comes on the dash for a few seconds( pic of rover with *** end in the air) and then stays constantly on. Once I shut down and restart, indicator light is out until I push the button again.
I also tried disconnecting the positive terminal in the battery but it didn't help.
Hope this helps in describing my situation...

I have some more info that I found, hopefully someone can chime in that's had a similar situation...I pulled the plug to the pump to check that power was reaching the pump. I used a 12 volt test light. There was no power at the plug. I did this with engine running and doors closed. All fuses are good..
I'm debating taking it in somewhere to get it checked out...I'm stumped!
