Default New plug wires are loose in coil pack

Hey folks,

I replaced my plug wires tonight with 8mm STI wires because I was having some rough idling and misfires.

I followed the method where I did NOT remove the intake manifold. My knuckles are scraped but the job is basically complete at this point.

I noticed that when I was removing the old wires from the coil pack they were insanely difficut to remove, however, when I plug in the new wires they can be pulled out quite easily and just feel loose. Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance.

Adam

Adam - When you install the new plug wires on the coils you should hear and/or feel a "click" when they are seated correctly. If not, you are either not pressing hard enough or the leads are not aligned correctly in the coil. Hope this helps. JEFIII

Thanks Jeff. That is kind of what I figured. I waited on re-installing the SAI tubes and I'm glad I did.

Honestly, next time I'm going to take off the IM. This as too much effort for me.
