Default NEW problem with timing

Ok now my dad seems to think that all that is wrong with my discovery is that my timing is off bc i put in new spark plugs. It idles real rough to a point it shakes the car but only at idle, when i take off everything is fine. How do i get my timing reset and how much are we talking here?

Installing plugs will not change your timing. Either you broke a plug putting it in, wrong heat range or crossed a wire is all that I can think of.

What do you mean wrong heat range? As in maybe my the plugs i bought were the wrong ones? I got bosh platinums and spaced them to .33 like advanced auto parts said to. Am i stupid for listening to advanced auto parts?

No, you are not stupid, I just listed out some possibilitys as to what might be causing your problem.
Start you engine and one at a time, pull a spark plug wire and see how it effects the idle. If there is a bad plug, when you plull that particular one there will be no difference in the idle. The other possibility is that when you first removed the plug wires to replace the plugs, you may have damaged the plug wire.
