Default New Rear Door Actuators - now door sticks!

Replace both Rear Door actuators.

Doors lock and unlock perfectly.

Only issue, when opening the door with the outside door handle, it seems to stick just a bit then release open when you pull slightly harder.

Checked the metal rod that connects the outside door latch to the actuator (PAIN IN THE @55 to put back, by the way) and everything seems ok. Both rear doors do the exact same thing.

Do they loosen up after a while?

Is there something that can be adjusted?

Default Door sticks after replacing ac

No ideas. I really don't want to screw up brand new modulators.

It seems the latch part in the actuator is binding on the latch post on the door frame.

When you open the door from the outside, if you give a little tug while pulling the handle it comes free. Just hangs up a little.

Have you tried spraying some lithium grease on the assembly? I use the PB blaster brand on all my lock lock mechanisms and they all work well.

Also, you can adjust the pin that attaches to the door handle to open sooner. I suspect that this is your problem, but I'm sure you are not excited about going back in.

Not excited at all 😁

What pin do you adjust. The rod that goes from the door handle to the actuator didn't seem to have any adjustments.

I can't remember which pin adjusts. One of them has threads on it and you just turn it clockwise to tighten it up. But now that I'm thinking about it I can't remember if that exact pin adjusts. I'm not at home, where I have a complete assembly there out of the car that I can reference when I get back.

Can anyone else confirm in the meantime?

I think I know the adjustment you are talking about. It's on the front door actuators. The rear doesn't have that plastic piece that the rod screws into.

That nylon adjustment piece is not on the rear actuators. Wondering if there is any adjustments in the door handle itself.

Does anyone know if there is a adjustment in the door handle?
