New Rock Sliders
Very nice! The first thing I though of when I saw the pictures were skateboard rails from my skating days some 25 years ago. Rail slides on concrete curbs daily for years, and the rails only got scratched. The plastic in those rails performed awesomely, and I'm sure the materials of today are even better than 25 years ago.
That plastic will last about 1/2 day on our trails, I can't understand why something that will get cut to ribbons on the rocks is supposed to last much less allow the truck to slide easier. Metal on rock is the only surface area you should have.
Cool Vid, I could see a little scratch in the plastic but it took the hit well. It did not slid all that easily though. I will give it props for design thought, I wonder what it will look like in a couple of years of wheeling.
Look great but so much $$$$... the rail slides are a great idea I think I'll find some poly material and rip it down with my table saw in strips. I know where I can pick that up in sheets a 1/2" thick. Nice vid too.
