There is a test port for the fuel rail behind the inlet manifold, just to the right of center as you face the engine from the front. It is like a tire stem valve, only made from steel, with a silver colored cap. Remove the cap, start the engine, and after it stalls, press the valve stem with a small screw driver to see if it releases fuel. If there is fuel at pressure (a spray) the pump is not causing it to stall.
