Question New timing chain also loose.

I ordered the timing chain set from Atlantic British, however, there was still play in the timing chain. I made a post here with a video of the previous chain and everyone said it needs replacing. The new chain still has play. It is a little less, but I thought there shouldn't be play at all. Is this normal? Are the parts bad? Should I source it from somewhere else?

This is a video of the new timing chain.

I recently replaced the chain on my P38. Here is what the new chain looked like.

All old push rod V8's had slack it just the way they were built, I have never found any info on how much is too much.

Like Walt and Richard say, that doesn’t look like too much play.

There's no tensioner on these so there has to be enough slack to easily slide the sprockets on.
