Newb with problems
Hi I am new to these forums and and just bought a 2000 discovery 2 sd7, rear air suspnsion has been swapped out for springs, 64428 miles, here are my issues.
Vibration/shimmy when brakes are depressed, think i need brake job, level of difficulty?
Cruise control does not work, master switch illuminates but set button does nothing.
Front passenger seat does not slide, clicking noise from motor when switch is pushed but no movement, all other functions seem to work, is it hard to replace motor?
I hope someone can help me with these issues, thanks in advance, great site.

Rotors and pads are not difficult to replace. You should bleed the system while you are at it - various recommendations on that procedure - do a search on the forum. Check with Atlantic British for parts - they frequently run specials on rotor/pad sets. On the cruise issue, are you pulling the set button toward you? You have to pull and hold it for about two seconds to get it to engage.
I fixed my cruise this weekend as well. The vacumn hose was split on one end. Cut off the split part and was enough slack to push back on. Tested this AM, works well. Will get new hose to replace this week. Be sure engine is cool, when working on it. That manifold is hot! I found out the hard way!
