Newbie Q - ABS dash light
Hey everyone, thanks in advance for your help. I have a 2000 Disco II with 138,000 miles on it. When I start the car, all the lights on the dash light up as they should except for the ABS light. I suspect it could have an ABS issue which was maybe covered up by turning this light off?
It doesn't throw any codes, but once it did throw a 1590 which I know is related to the three amigos. After a reset, it still hasn't thrown anything though. Where would I start looking to try and diagnose the ABS light issue?
Also, to add to the suspicion, the Hill Descent Assist thingy doesn't do anything. The light comes on when I turn the Rover over, but if I push the button on the dash, nothing. No light comes on, no warning beeps, or anything.
And just to add I have checked all fuses and relays and they all appear to be good.

I'm taking it into a LR specialist in a couple days for just some regular maintenance. I'll ask him if he has a scanner. I do have an ultragauge, but I don't think that will show the amigos code will it?
Ultra Gauge will not read or show ABS faults, you need a seperate reader for this
