Newbie who's just bought Disco 2
I've just bought my very first 4x4, a 4.0 V8 Disco II. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with.
The first one is to do with the self levelling suspension, it inflates correctly but always goes down overnight and doesn't inflate until the car has been running for 5 mins or until I set off. It then functions correctly. I'm guessing that I have a small leak somewhere.
It has two sunroofs and one of them leaks, I don't want to seal it up as they are electric. Is it easy to change the seals?
The drivers doors doesn't unlock with the rest of them when the remote key is used. It locks fine but I have to use the key to unlock it.
Where is the CD player?
Thanks for any help.

Your suspension bags are leaking. Changing them is pretty straightforward. You can pick up a pair of aftermarket replacements for about $120 and they'll work well enough if you don't do a ton of offroad driving.
There are two places where the sunroofs seal -- the frame to the vehicle body, and the glass to the frame. Work out which one it is and replace it -- not too difficult. The tray drains may also be blocked or may have broken which is not uncommon. Repairing cracked drains requires removal of the entire headliner.
Your door actuator is dead. Replacement is pretty simple. Search this site on how to do it.
CD player is under the passenger's seat. It's a cartridge type.

You will definitely be back for more questions. Lol. Youll end up being a LR mechanic from this forum. Plenty encouragement from Mollusc, said, "pretty straightforward, not too difficult and pretty simple". Good luck
Second, what I do that's super helpful is using Google, let's say my door lock is broken, I search "land rover discovery ii driver door lock".
I look for the results listed for the various forums and start there:

Also, check out the "related thread" feature that is after the last post on each thread. Lots of times it's a similar question.
Welcome to the family! Have you found your local Harbor Freight tools yet?
