Nitto Tire - Grappler
Anybody have Nitto Grapplers on their Disco? If so, do you have pics you want to share? Looking at Trail Grapplers if they will fit.

Currently have 18's so I'm guessing I'll stick with 18's. I just sat back and looked at my Disco this afternoon and the first thing that came to my mind is whether or not I'll have to get a lift. I currently do not have a lift and haven't done a ton of research as far as tire height on the Trail Grappler. I guess I should look a little further into it.
I had them on my Disco 04. 255 55 18. I did like them. But after putting new OME shocks and coils. I wanted to get larger tires. Nitto did not make any that would fit. I went with 265 65 18. One of the nitto tires had uneven wear. I rotated and balanced pretty regularly. I got 40000 miles on them. The other three where still in good shape. All and all good tires.
A lot of your decision should be based on the type of wheeling you do. If you are planning more off road, you would be better off with 16's, bigger, stronger side walls for a better ride and a lot more tire selections.
If you bought a full set of 15" rims your tire selection is great and the prices of the tires that you have to choose from are awesome. I'd check into some DI 15" rims and go from there. R18 tires are crazy expensive... just my 2 cents.
I really appreciate all of the advice being given. It all makes more sense than me just going for a "look." I saw a Dodge truck today with 18" Trail Grapplers on it and they are way, way too aggressive for what I'm wanting to do and for the look. Like I said, you guys making suggestions of 15-16's are making a ton more sense. Thanks for your patience and responses to a 3 month old Disco owner!!
