Default No acceleration~Joys!

Hi Everybody,
I have been the happy owner of a 97 Disco for a few years now. While it's got it's quirks such as loosing power at random for a second or so before continuing on it's merry way...OR...the cruise control deciding that it doesn't wish to work any longer...OR...the infamous oil leak.

My question is this. The truck starts great even up here in the beautifully cold state of Michigan, however, upon pressing the gas pedal last night it has decided to not accelerate. Mind you, that if in drive without pressing the pedal, she'll still move forward or while in reverse will move back. If I press the pedal appx 3/4 the way to the floor, it'll catch on something and WOW are we ready for the races and moving forward like the beginning of a Nascar race.
Please help. I don't have a local Land Rover service provider in my area, my dad is as familiar with a foreign car as he is with a sewing machine and I'm really not technically capable of determining what the issue is....I'm thinking some kind of throttle linkage?

Thank You to anyone who reads this and can offer a suggestion!
Aloha,
Jo'nice[8D]

Check the linkage from the pedal, thru the cables to the t/body, something must be off track.
