Default No Drive!!!

My 02 discovery lost all drive this morning when my wife backed out of the driveway. With the park brake engaged and the truck in drive the front drive shaft is spinning freely and the rear does not move. Any ideas?

OK, so you have either a broken front diff, spider gears, or a broken front CV joint.
How mechanical are you?

It has been making a hard clunk when backing up from a stop but never could get it to do it when I was looking for it. But shouldn't it drive with the rear or does the traction control set up not allow it?

If you had a 99-01 or 04 you could lock the centre diff, but as you have an 02 you don't have that ability.

I thought you could do it on the 02 you just had to make your own linkage to be able to shift it. I was told that and read it on here that is why I bought an 02

No you can't do that on an 02, only up to 2001.5 can you do that. 02 and 03 you need a new front output nose or a whole new T-case.
