Default No electric

So, I unlocked the car w the remote, and it would not start. Remote worked fine. Nothing electric has any juice.

The radio does not work, clock has barely any visible digits, the other doors cannot be unlocked. If you pull on the lock to manually unlock them there is too much resistance. I suppose I could force them.

There is no electricity, battery is a few months old. The horn button fell off this afternoon if that is some how related. I don't this it ot was shorting anything. I will come back later tonight to jump it. But any ideas on where to start looking?
I can put the shift in drive, but no response at all from turning the key.

Its so strange because just moments earlier everything worked, the remote unlocked it fine. The CPS was replaced a couple months ago. Battery is newer.

It seems like a ground maybe, I will have to check that out. But aside from that, hopefully I can jump it tonight and see what that does.

I have not read anything like this before so any direction is appreciated.

Thanks

How’s your battery voltage?

Battery connections can work every time and then suddenly seem to be very poor. I’ve had that before on other vehicles. A quick clean or retightening of the battery connections, or grounds or positive cable connections might fix it. Hopefully it’s this simple.

I know you’re a very experienced LR guy but sometimes the obvious can be overlooked by the best of us.

Default Fixed

Ocrams razor. The battery terminal connections were corroded at the connection. Looked fine from the outside, but once disconnected, there was a ton of corrosion on the negative terminal.

It was a bit loose, even when tight so I slipped a piece of wire under the clamp as a shim for both terminals.

Easy fix but inconvenient day.

Thanks for the recommendation.
